Work in Progress

So, here we are again…WoW!!! Two days in a row. (Don’t get too use to that.) I am just saying that today…I feel like I need a clone, perhaps two or three of them. I have been awake since 3am (no I have NO idea why) I have managed to wash two loads of clothes, do 3 year old’s HIPPY homework with her (2 weeks worth) Fold 3 loads of laundry, eat breakfast, sweep the floor and sit all before 10am.
I also have to find time to take an exam (on material that I haven’t studied), write a 4 page paper and a 3 page paper (both in APA format) go to church tonight, Go on a Hike Saturday afternoon, Go back to church twice on Sunday, See my oldest son’s last football game of the year tomorrow, go see my middle son’s play this afternoon at 1pm and fit my 3yo speech therapy in on Thursday and Friday, It’s Wednesday now at 9:45am, AND I am supposed to do ALL this and keep everybody else HAPPY…. I REALLY NEED A CLONE!!! (and yes that was all in one breath! Who has time to breathe?)
Well, let me be the first to say, that I know I am NOT alone in taking on more than I can chew at times. I also know that there are many others out there who know exactly how I feel. So, while I would really like to sit here and complain about ALL that is taking place, let me also be reminded of Philippians 2:14-15. Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe. Sometimes I have to stop and remind myself that I am a Child of God and in being one I have ways that I am supposed to act and behave. Because I have been called to be, set apart, I should be doing everything with a thankfulness and a cheerfulness instead of a grumpy and complaining attitude.

Be patient with me…I am a WORK IN PROGESS and with that being said. YOU are a work in progress too. Look for the good in everything and while at times it may be REALLY hard to see it. Know that it is there and we may not realize for a very long time but eventually, we will be able to look back and see just how much good was in that very trying time.
